Red Bull X-Fighters Jams mesmerizes Sri Lanka fans

It was a show of shows when the Red Bull X-Fighters Jams stunt riders mesmerized the vast Sri Lanka crowds that had thronged to witness their spectacular stunts, which were displayed at the Galle Face Green on Saturday.

The fearless four namely Daniel Bodin of Sweden, Nick de Wit of South Africa along with Gilles de Jong and Bjorn van den Broeck both of Belgium lived up to their reputation as masters of freestyle motocross riding as they kept the crowd spell bound.

Sweden’s Daniel was the playmaker of the foursome and was the cynosure of all eyes with his somersaulting and air borne gimmicks which gave others the full confidence. But even then South Africa’s Nickky and Belgium’s Gilles were a treat to watch with Bjorn following in their steps, doing them the way they should be done.

The foursomes’ performance was much more advanced than in November last year. But Jimmy Verburgh was badly missed though Bjorn came in as a replacement and obliged.

The somersault which three of the riders performed was something special. Of course many who had come on that day would have seen on the television or on a video but those in attendance were lucky to witness it with their own eyes the spectacular act by these dare devil riders.

It was a great opportunity which was missed by those who were unable to witness this rare event and Daniel Bodin speaking to the Daily Mirror said that it was great to see that people in Sri Lanka were supporters of these kinds of events.

No doubt some encouraging words and maybe they would come back again which would give those who missed it an opportunity to witness this spectacular event.
