Cop killed in hit-and-run accident
A police officer was killed in an accident along the Colombo-Monaragala
main road in the Thanamalwila area around midnight yesterday (August
13). Police said the officer was attached to the Thanamalwila Police.
The
driver of the vehicle drove off without stopping after hitting the
policeman, Thanamalwila Police which is conducting investigations
stated.
