Off road mania at Katana on September 4

The 4×4 Off Road race “Power of Wheels” Xtreme 4×4 Trophy -2001” organized by Negombo Off Road, Club (NORC) will be held on September 4 in Katana’s Pathigagodella track.

This race track is located in the vicinity an eye-catching grass land bordering a natural marsh land in a rocky terrain difficult for normal access. It has still and obstacles that naturally suit off road competition. This race track will also provide opportunities for Extreme event, novices’ event and a novel event it utilizing JCB Back-hoe loaders, for the first time in Sri Lanka. According to the organizers the participation of the internationally famous duo like Indika and Naveen as well as veterans like Osanda – Malintha, Suresh Chathuranga, Sean-Warner, Deepthi Perera, Amal Saranga and a host of talented youngesters like Shehara & Vajira would provide an enthralling and entertaining day for the vast majority of fans who come to witness this event.

A part of the profit generated by this event, will be donated towards the building fund of the peripheral Hospital Akaragama.
